Our Commitment

Arogyasuman Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is committed to ensuring that SheBloom — our app and website — is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that health tools should be inclusive by design.

We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for our website, and Android accessibility best practices for the mobile app.

Current Accessibility Status

The following accessibility features are implemented across the SheBloom app and website:

• Screen reader support — ARIA labels and roles applied throughout the app and website (Achieved)
• Keyboard navigation — Website fully navigable by keyboard with visible focus indicators (Achieved)
• Colour contrast — Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (Achieved)
• Reduced motion — Animations are suppressed when the user's device has "Reduce Motion" enabled (Achieved)
• Semantic HTML — Website uses proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions (Achieved)
• Touch target sizing — App interactive elements meet Android minimum touch target guidelines (48dp) (Achieved)
• Text scaling — App layout supports OS-level font size adjustments (In Progress)
• Image alt text — All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text (In Progress)
• High contrast mode — Support for Android high contrast accessibility mode (Planned)
• Voice control — Full compatibility with Android Voice Access (Planned)

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to address them:

• Some complex data visualisations (cycle ring, prediction charts) may not have full screen reader descriptions. We are adding detailed ARIA descriptions.
• The calendar date picker may be difficult to use with certain screen readers on older Android versions. An alternative text input is being added.
• Some dynamically rendered content may not announce state changes immediately to screen reader users. We are implementing live region announcements.

Technical Specifications

SheBloom's website relies on the following technologies for conformance:

• HTML5
• CSS3 (including ARIA landmark roles)
• WAI-ARIA 1.1
• JavaScript (vanilla, with progressive enhancement)

The mobile app is built with React Native and Expo, targeting Android API level 24 and above. Accessibility features follow the Android Accessibility guidelines and Google's Material Design accessibility principles.

Assessment Approach

Arogyasuman Technologies assessed the accessibility of SheBloom through:

• Self-evaluation using automated accessibility scanning tools
• Manual testing with TalkBack (Android screen reader)
• Keyboard-only navigation testing on the website
• Colour contrast analysis using WCAG contrast ratio tools

We plan to commission an independent accessibility audit as the app reaches wider distribution.
